The Labelle care guide
Care, considered.
Quiet habits that help your jewelry stay part of every day — without making assumptions about the piece in your hand.
The everyday ritual
A little care,
worn often.
Four simple habits that are gentle enough to use as a starting point when a piece does not include more specific instructions.
-
01
Last on, first off
Finish fragrance, lotion and hair products before putting jewelry on. Remove pieces before changing or getting ready for bed.
-
02
Keep it dry when in doubt
Unless the product page explicitly says otherwise, remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising or prolonged contact with moisture.
-
03
Store pieces separately
Use a soft pouch or separate compartment in a cool, dry place to reduce friction, tangling and surface scratches.
-
04
Wipe after wear
Use a clean, soft, dry cloth with light pressure. Avoid abrasive cloths, harsh cleaners and unverified home remedies.
A gentle clean
Start softly.
When the product does not include a dedicated cleaning method, use the least intensive option first.
- 01
Inspect the piece. Check for loose stones, damaged clasps or lifted plating before cleaning.
- 02
Use a dry, soft cloth. Wipe gently without scrubbing, pulling chains or forcing delicate settings.
- 03
Pause before going further. Do not soak, polish or use steam, chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners unless that method is approved for the specific piece.
What to avoid
Treat uncertainty as a reason to pause.
- Chlorine, salt water and prolonged moisture
- Direct contact with perfume, lotion and hairspray
- Abrasive cloths, toothpaste and household cleaners
- Sleeping, exercising or showering in jewelry
Between wears
Give every piece its own place.
Fasten chains, keep pieces apart and choose a soft, dry compartment away from direct sunlight, humidity and changing temperatures.
Traveling? Use individual pouches and make sure pieces cannot rub together inside your bag.
Clear claims, piece by piece
We only describe a piece as waterproof, tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic or nickel-free when that property has been verified for that product.
If a material or care detail is missing, contact us before ordering or cleaning. We would rather help you check than make an assumption.
