The useful details

A clear view of the data journey.

These sections explain the common roles information plays across the storefront, an order and the customer-care experience.

What information may be collected?
Depending on how you interact with La Belle Toronto, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery details, account information, order history, support messages, device and browser information, storefront activity and the marketing preferences you choose. Payment details are processed through the payment services made available at checkout.
Where does the information come from?
Information may come directly from you when you browse, create an account, place an order, subscribe or contact customer care. It may also be generated through your use of the storefront or provided by services involved in payments, fulfilment, delivery, tracking, analytics, marketing and fraud prevention.
How is information used?
Information may be used to provide and improve the storefront, process transactions, fulfil and track orders, support returns, respond to customer-care requests, maintain accounts, detect misuse, measure storefront performance and meet applicable legal or operational requirements.
Who may process information?
Services supporting the storefront may process the information needed to perform their role. These can include Shopify and providers involved in payments, fulfilment, delivery, tracking, analytics, marketing, fraud prevention and customer care. The published policy will identify the categories that reflect the services actually enabled for the store.
Can information be processed outside my region?
La Belle Toronto and the providers supporting the storefront may process information outside your province, state or country. When this happens, the information may be subject to the laws of the place where it is processed. The final policy will reflect the store's verified providers and operating locations.
What about cookies and storefront measurement?
Cookies and similar technologies can help operate essential storefront functions, remember choices, understand performance and measure marketing. Where required, the storefront will provide controls for non-essential uses. Your browser may also provide settings for managing cookies.
How do marketing choices work?
If you choose to receive marketing, your contact details and engagement may be used to send relevant news or offers. You can unsubscribe through the link in a message or contact customer care. Service messages connected with an order or account are separate from marketing.
Is information sold or shared for advertising?
La Belle Toronto does not need to sell personal information for money to operate the store. Some analytics or advertising tools can, however, be treated as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. Where those rules apply, the storefront will provide the required notice and choice based on the tools that are actually enabled.
How is information protected?
Reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures are used to protect information in the context of the storefront and its supporting services. No online system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so customers should also protect their account credentials and avoid sending sensitive payment information through email or customer-care messages.
How long is information kept?
Information is retained for the period needed to provide the relevant service, maintain appropriate transaction records, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal or operational requirements. Retention can vary by the type of information and the reason it is held.
Is the storefront intended for children?
The storefront is intended for adult customers and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact customer care so the request can be reviewed and handled appropriately.
How can I use my privacy rights?
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability or information about how personal information is used, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. Contact customer care using the email associated with your account or order and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may need to be retained where permitted or required.
How will policy updates be shown?
The published policy will display its latest effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the storefront policy, and additional notice may be provided where appropriate or required.
